Learn More About IMC’s Dance Intensive

Aligned with Island Moving Company’s Newport Dance Festival, the IMC Summer Dance Intensive includes a rigorous two-week training program designed for both seasoned, and young dancers.

The Intensive is appropriate for students 18+ and will run from July 10 through 24, 2022.  The program cost is $1,850. This fee includes all classes, work with the company and choreographers, performance in the five nights of the festival and coaching. Single & shared housing accommodations are available for an additional fee.

  Preliminary Schedule Overview JULY 10 – 24TH

·         1.5 hour Ballet Class each day

·         Daily Contemporary Technique Classes

·         Special Workshops and Partnering Classes

·         Participation in all Newport Dance Festival events

·         Rehearsals with IMC and visiting companies

·         Selected New Works & Etudes performed nightly

·         Two original works from guest artists created for Summer Intensive

·         Professional Resources for Young Dancers

·         Resume writing classes

Application Deadline: May 20, 2022

Tuition Due: June 10, 2022 (10% Discount if registered and paid by June 3, 2022)
