Timur Kan (Almaty, Kazakhstan) joined the IMC company roster at the end of its 35th season, making his debut in the Newport Nutcracker at Rosecliff dancing the role of Soldier Doll, Candy Cane, and Chinese. He met Miki and the company performing at the World Expo 2017 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.  Timur Kan began his professional training at the Russian Academy of Ballet in Almaty at age 11 in 2009. His ballet training is based on Vaganova Method. Besides ballet, he studied character and traditional folk dances as well. He has won 1st place in the Ak-kuu International Ballet Competition in Bishkek, Kyrgystan & 3rd in the Orleu International Ballet Competition in Almaty, where he performed classical variations from ballets Le Corsaire, Flame of Paris and Harlequinade.  During the last two years in the ballet academy, Timur joined the Abay State Opera & Ballet Theatre in Almaty, where he has performed many classical ballets. After graduating from the ballet academy in 2017 he has worked as a guest dancer with The Samruk Contemporary Dance Theatre in Almaty, and Joburg Ballet in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Timur began dancing with Island Moving Company in the fall of 2017.
