KATIE MOORHEAD (Media, PA), was a member of Bradley Shelver Contemporary Dance Theater and worked as a freelance artist with David Fernandez, CCDC, NYB Ballet, Indelible Dance, Seth Gertsacov, and Vanessa Tamburi while in NYC. She was also a ballet substitute at Alvin Ailey Extension Program for Kat Wildish.  In the fall of 2014, she directed and produced a benefit performance joining dancers, artists, and musicians at the Jamestown Arts Center, titled “Pro-Aesthetic,” of which she was very grateful and honored by all that participated. She is the owner and trainer of the GYROTONIC® Newport studio located on Broadway, where she trains many people from athletes, students to senior citizens in need of keeping their bodies fluid and pain free…. creating support for the joints and an all around healthier lifestyle.  Katie began dancing with Island Moving Company as a guest dancer in the spring of 2013 and joined the company the fall of that year. She looks forward to another great season with this unique company in Newport!
