Nutcracker Underway…Dreyfus Foundation comes forward

Rehearsals are underway for the children’s cast of Island Moving Co.’s Newport Nutcracker at Rosecliff and the dancers are in the studio today, warming up with a company class.  Sales are gangbusters (get your tickets now!).  Sponsor Randal S. Poirier of Independence Financial Partners is underwriting one evening of the run, entertaining clients and friends with refreshments before the show at Rosecliff.  Our annual Nutcracker matinee for Newport’s third graders has found generous support from David and Susan Odland.  They have been devoted to bringing children to the show, every year buying tickets, being Nutcracker Angels and escorting excited young people to performances.
