Tuition & Policies

The school year is divided into two five month terms and a summer session. Tuition can be paid in full for the term. A $10.00 surcharge will be added to the first payment for those paying in two installments. Half of the tuition is due on or before the first class of that term. The second half of the tuition is due November 15th or April 15th. A $10.00 late fee will be charged after the second week of the term. There will be a $25.00 fee for returned checks. If you are unsure whether your child will enjoy the class, pay for half the tuition. This insures that your child will really give the class a chance. There will be no refunds. Make-up classes are available within the term, but may not be carried into the next term. There is a yearly $25.00 registration fee, or $35.00 for a family with more than one child.

Dress Code

For girls ballet: Black or pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and hair up in a bun.
For boys: White t-shirt, black tights, and black shoes.
For jazz and tap: Black jazz pants and pink or black Newport Academy t-shirt.
No over garments may be worn except a Newport Academy t-shirt or a ballet sweater, woolen leg warmers, woolen warm-ups, shorts or IMC shorts.

All dancewear and t-shirts must be purchased here at the studio through Eileen Stoops and Dance Essentials.

  • Summer: June 13, 2010 — August 16, 2010

  • February & April Vacation ~ Concurrent with Newport Public Schools
